Tutorials
At present, at most AESS technical conferences, a myriad of technical tutorials are presented by leading experts in their fields. This part of the initiative will consist of video recording of "the best of the best" technical tutorials presented at AESS-sponsored symposia and tutorials from the AESS Distinguished Lecturer Program and Distinguished Tutorial Program. In addition, a sub-committee will search for experts to present appropriate other technical tutorials. This sub-committee will also vet the tutorial material to assure first-rate technical content and video quality of the presented material. We also solicit tutorials from any Society members. If you are interested in presenting a tutorial, please email the VP-Education with details. These tutorials typically will be from three to six hours duration. They will be available for viewing from this website and will be presented in Adobe Flash 8 format. (Presently, Microsoft Windows as well as a broadband Internet connection are required for viewing the tutorials and the courses and student lectures discussed below.) The fee structure for the tutorials will be setup so that the overall tutorial program will be run on a break-even basis.
Tutorial fees will be $100 for members, $150 for non-members and $50 for student members. These prices refer to IEEE-developed courseware. Tutorials that are offered via the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Open Website will be made available at no cost.
